Kevin Tappan serves as the CFO at BLC Builders. His roots in Reno run deep, and he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Economics from the University of Nevada. Kevin commenced his career in the realm of commercial and corporate finance, where he swiftly established himself as one of the premier bankers in the Reno Tahoe area. His banking journey began at Nevada Security Bank, later acquired by Umpqua.

At BLC Builders, Kevin’s role encompasses accounting, finance, contract review, and investments. He shoulders the responsibility for daily and long-term accounting functions, corporate banking, and actively contributes to the company’s business development. Kevin plays a pivotal role in overseeing BLC’s investment and development projects, capitalizing on his decade-long experience in development and asset holdings valued at over $100 million. His expertise shines through in project entitlements and contract negotiations for purchase agreements. Beyond his responsibilities at BLC Builders, Kevin is a dedicated member of the Board of Directors of the Truckee Meadows Boys and Girls Club. He is also actively engaged in multiple entrepreneurial ventures within the Reno area, with investments spanning diverse companies, including Brewers Cabinet, Reno Rebuild Project, Breadware, and more. In his free time, Kevin enjoys skiing, golf and tennis.
