BLC Builders was selected to restore multiple water-damaged apartment units at The Edison apartments. The damage originated on the sixth floor and extended down to the main level, impacting nine units in total. Another contractor had already completed demolition and remediation, leaving our team to reassemble the units from the studs out.
Our work included rebuilding walls with new gypsum board to maintain fire ratings, replacing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment as required, and restoring finishes to match existing conditions. We completed new sheetrock, tape and texture, painting, tile, flooring, and baseboards, while carefully reinstalling salvaged finish items such as cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and doors. Electrical systems were repaired with new boxes, outlets, and light fixtures, and new water heaters were installed as needed.
