BLC Builders delivered the Our Second Home Daycare at The Meadows at Inglewood, serving as one of the anchor tenants for the new mixed-use development and addresses a critical childcare need within Fernley’s city limits. Completed in September 2025, the 6,536 SF, ground-up facility was designed to support children from six weeks through kindergarten and includes six classrooms, administrative offices, a reception area, and a full commercial kitchen.
Architectural elements such as a board-and-batten exterior, stone wainscot, metal roof accents, and asphalt composition shingles give the building a distinct presence within the development. Interior finishes were selected for both durability and warmth, with LVP and tile flooring complemented by wood wainscotting along the main corridor to create a safe, welcoming environment for young learners.
This project marked BLC Builders’ first collaboration with the owners of The Meadows at Inglewood, Donna and Heather, a mother-daughter team. The successful delivery of the daycare established a strong working relationship and opened the door for continued collaboration as the development continues to grow.
